Average Cost of Living
To be fair, the UAE is not one of the most affordable countries in the world to live in. However, the cost of living varies by city, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi being the most expensive, and Sharjah, Fujairah, and Al Ain being the least. Expect a monthly cost (housing, food, and other expenses) of $1000–$1500 if you live in private housing or get by for less when living in university accommodation.
Most students tend to stay in university accommodation as it is more accessible and less expensive, but owing to limited availability, some students are forced to live in private housing.
